Leathers & Colours
The leathers I work with.
I choose leather for its quality, character and suitability for the piece. I source through specialist suppliers and wholesalers, which gives me access to a broad range of leathers, finishes and colours with more reliable availability for made-to-order work.
The choice goes far beyond the leathers associated with Hermès. If you have a particular leather, finish or colour in mind, tell me and I will explore what can be sourced for your piece.
A wider leather selection
Choice and availability
I can work with calfskin, goatskin and many other leathers, from smooth and supple to more structured or textured finishes. Sourcing beyond the original tanneries opens up a fuller range of colours and helps me find a suitable hide when you are ready to commission a piece.
Original tannery leathers
Sourced on request
If you would like a leather from a particular original tannery, I will search extensively through specialist wholesalers to find what is available. The colour choice is usually more limited, and these hides are significantly more expensive. I will confirm the options and price with you before proceeding.
Choosing what feels right
Leather, finish and colour
A leather can change the look and feel of a design as much as its colour does. Tell me whether you prefer a fine grain, a softer hand, or a more structured finish, and I will suggest options that suit the piece you have in mind.
These colours are starting points for a conversation, not a live stock list or a promise that a shade is available from a particular tannery. Colour can vary between leathers and suppliers. I will confirm current options for your piece and, where possible, show you a physical swatch before cutting.
These digital colours are illustrative only. Screens and leather finishes can affect how a shade appears; I will confirm the actual leather and colour available before your piece is made.
